DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Referee" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with a visible Brocot escapement in a green porcelain case with two-piece porcelain dial and blued steel hands, c1901; (2) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Zenith" crystal regulator, 8 day time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in a gilt brass case with four beveled glasses, two-piece porcelain dial and blued steel hands, c1914.
CONDITION:
(1) The case is compete and in good condition. There are just a few very small chips to the green glaze on the front edges of the clock. The chapter ring has three hairline cracks. Original hands. Good beveled glass. Pendulum is absent. Ansonia movement is signed. (2) Gilt case is in very good condition. Two of the beveled glasses have small chips in the corners. The chapter ring has one very faint hairline. The pallets are red jewels. Simulated double-vial mercury pendulum is a new replacement. Dimensions are for the "Referee" (1). Sold "as is ".
